10b. Games for Champs (Patterns)

The Special Style of Getting Ready: Doku is getting ready for the second and final day of studying patterns. He is in a hurry. Can you help him get dressed quickly? To exercise his brain, today Doku will start dressing from the bottom. Can you quickly move and arrange his items?

Complete the Pattern:  Doku is back to studying symbols. Now it’s your job to extend the sequence by dragging and dropping the symbols from the blue rectangle into the correct places. Remember, this time you have to add 4 symbols in each pattern.

No Blame Game: Just like cheating is bad, accusing an innocent person is also bad. So Doku wants to make sure that he doesn’t put a false blame on anyone. Now that he knows how patterns work, his father is teaching him the next level. Here, Doku needs to understand how patterns break. Will you join him in this tricky part?

In the game given below, carefully study the patterns. Look at the symbols in the left light green rectangle, i.e., the first four symbols in each row. Now Click/Tap wherever the patterns break in the right yellow rectangle, i.e., where the symbols are wrong as per the starting patterns.

Toys in a Pattern: Doku has gone to buy some toys. At the toyshop, he observed how the shopkeeper was arranging the toys in different patterns. He is going to help the shopkeeper create a pretty pattern with the toys. Let’s see how!
Take the toys from the right blue rectangle and drag and drop them to complete the patterns.

Back to the Training: Doku is back from the toyshop and is again studying how patterns break. Let’s join him.
Carefully look at each box. Now Click/Tap on the box where you feel the pattern is wrong.

Training Time: Doku’s father is busy on the phone. But the big match is coming, and our Doku doesn’t want to waste any time. So his father has made some mini-games for Doku. Can you help Doku quickly complete them and get his father’s attention back?

Helping Poppy, the Parrot: Doku’s father is still busy on the phone. So in the meantime, Doku has decided to help a hungry parrot reach a papaya. And as luck would have it, the only way the parrot can reach the papaya is by following a pattern!

Look at the parrot sitting on the right. He is telling you the correct way to reach the papaya with a speech bubble above his head, i.e., by following the pattern of one yellow emoji followed by one green emoji. Can you help him?

In the given maze, Click/Tap on the right emojis as per the pattern to help the parrot reach the papaya.

Patterns in Numbers? This is the real test of our Umpire Doku. His father wants to test if the wise umpire can he find out the patterns in numbers. This way he can check if the other team is making runs by cheating. But how will he do so? Let’s find out!

In the game given below, carefully study the numbers given in the left grey rectangle, i.e., the first four numbers in each row. Now Click/Tap wherever the patterns break in the right rectangle, i.e., where the numbers are wrong as per the starting patterns.

Complete the sequence: Move and arrange the numbers given below in the correct pattern.

Move and arrange: Reorder the pictures in the correct sequence.

10a. Patterns

Doku’s Worry: Little Doku is very tensed. Today, he heard some kids gossiping in the park about cheating in the big match. He knows that Poku is practising hard for the cricket match and really wants to win it. And he also knows that his big brother is very honest and would never cheat. But what if the other team cheats? What can he do to stop them? After all as an umpire, it is his duty to make sure that the game is played in a fair manner.

He shared his worry, and his father gave him an amazing idea. His father explained that people usually cheat in a pattern. So it is easy to catch a cheater if Doku can recognise the pattern. Doku’s father has kindly agreed to teach him patterns. Let’s prepare our Doku so that he can become the best umpire!

Study the patterns given below. Now take the shapes from the blue rectangle at the right and drag and drop them to extend the sequence.

Study the Alphabets: Let’s learn some maths through alphabets. Sounds interesting right? Take the alphabets from the light blue rectangle at the right and drag and drop them to extend the sequence.

Who’s Next? Look at the animals given below. According to the pattern, which one should come next?

Take the animals from the right rectangle and drag and drop them to complete the patterns.

No Cheater can Escape the Mighty Doku: Cheaters sometimes use symbols to communicate with each other. So now Doku’s father wants him to understand the patterns of symbols.

Extend the sequence by dragging and dropping the symbols from the blue rectangle into the correct boxes. Remember, this time you need to add 3 symbols in each pattern.

Move and Arrange: Reorder the numbers in the correct pattern.
